About

Hello, everyone! I am Svetlo, and this is a place for me to write things down, and share what I read about, learn and build. In no particular order.

A long time ago, I graduated from Japanese Studies and had a lot of fun speaking Japanese, until I found my first job in IT as a localisation engineer. Several years later, I found myself switching completely to building software as a Ruby developer.

I’m mostly lurking on ruby.social and mastodon.social, tooting every now and then. I hope to be more active there as soon as I also have things to share here. Watch this space.

I used Bridgetown to create this blog, and you can find the repo with the source code for this blog on my Codeberg profile here. I followed this post by Felipe Vogel, which has great instructions on how to build one yourself. I am hosting it on statichost.eu, and instructions for setting that up are available in the Bridgetown docs here.
